Early Child Care Registration

2024/2025 Academic Calendar

Our Preschool Program

At Horizon Elementary, our childcare program draws inspiration from the “Leader In Me” program, which incorporates the 7 Habits inspired by Stephen Covey’s leadership principles. Our approach is designed to celebrate the uniqueness of each child, allowing for development at their own pace while instilling constructive habits that prepare them for successful entry into elementary school.

In our nurturing environment, leadership skills are introduced through logical and orderly activities that naturally engage children’s desire to learn. Our curriculum includes books, active play, arts, and other interactive materials, fostering hands-on exploration and learning through listening and viewing. We ensure that all material is presented in an engaging way within a child-friendly setting. Activities are designed to enhance fine motor skills, extend concentration, and sharpen senses, with children free to practice and refine these skills as they cultivate good work habits and express their thoughts and feelings. We explore all avenues of learning, encouraging each child to feel confident in their abilities.

Our
Programs!

Our Level 1 program helps children develop an awareness of their surroundings by reinforcing fundamental concepts such as numbers, words, alphabets, days of the week, months, colors, shapes, and speech. Themes throughout the year promote discussion and ignite excitement for learning, helping children develop socially, emotionally, and physically.

Building on the foundation from Level 1, our Level 2 program continues to reinforce essential skills while introducing book exploration, word recognition, art & crafts, and other learning activities. Like Level 1, this program is designed to support the child’s development in all aspects—social, emotional, and physical—through themed discussions and engaging activities.
